When bought I expected a larger size bone like 7 or 8 inches long but instead was young dog or puppy size maybe 5 inches. But my two 70 lb dogs seem to love them and are safe holding them and not choking on their size. Helps keep their teeth clean.This product is very durable but depends on if your dogs take to them since there basically a plastic bone. She’ll carry them around the house.If you have puppies these are a must. Variety, durability and washable.I have a one year old beagle chihuahua mix. A neighbor gave her one and she loves it so much I order a 3 pack for her. She loves all three just as much as the one the neighbor gave her. She's a pretty aggressive chewer even if she has a medium size bite. Because of these she has stopped chewing up household items she otherwise has done. Hairbrushes, combs, writing pens, eyeglasses, etc. are all things she has chewed up in the past. Now, she goes to these instead. Hooray!I much prefer to have these Nylabone bones for my 5 Labradors than any other make purely because of the quality of the product! Nylabone is so much sturdier than other makes. When it says it can last, it does! I have tried other brands, none have matched the quality of Nylabone for the way it stands up t being chewed & chomped on by 5 Labradors! Nylabones say that when dogs are chewing on these anything coming off the size of a grain of rice should pass through the dogs system naturally. I haven't seen anything come off these yet, but then would I notice a bit the size of a grain of rice? I don't rifle through their poo to find out either! I use a coal shovel to pick it up in the garden & haven't seen anything suspicious out there. I haven't seen my chewer, getting chunks off & she's the most likely 1 to cause any real damage!I want a bone toy that the dogs can munch on that will occupy them for an hour or so without the risk that it'll break off & get stuck in them somewhere causing a blockage. I've used Nylabones for years with no problem, as long as you're aware of what your dog can do/is capable of & check the bones after they've used them in case they've managed to split the sides. I've actually still got 1 of the 3 bone puppy pack from 7 years ago that are still being played with! That's why I bought this 3 bone small pack because although I've got 2 medium & 3 large Labradors, they really love these small bones. Especially when the small bones are used with their paddling pool in the summer. Out of all their toys, they'd all rather retrieve these small bones from the paddling pool over anything else. Normally they sit & wait for their name to be called to go & retrieve what I just threw in, but if I just threw in a small bone they all want to go get it. As I only had 3 up to now, it wasn't fair, especially when 1 ran indoors to hide his for later! Now I've a spare for when I look after my friends Lab as she loves these small bones (especially retrieving them from the paddling pool) too! Got them at a reduced price so very happy indeed. Well worth the money at full price, a fantastic bargain in a sale!My dog has has used these bones for a couple of years, and I thought they were great - until now! My poor "pup" (who is always supervised with toys) has broken two teeth while chewing her bone yesterday. Her teeth are all clean, healthy and well looked after, and now she has to go under an anaesthetic to have both teeth removed. It happened in a split second, so no matter how well supervised she was, it couldn't have been stopped. I have told all of my friends, in the hope they will put any of these bones in the bin, and I would advise anyone - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCTThey really do work with a chewing mad puppy. My little Roxey is crazy about hers.they only tell you if you read pages of blurb that these should not be eaten. i dread to think how much plastic stuff my puppy has in her tummy. I think they are a very bad idea. Leave the dog with one for fun and come back to find it chewed upWould buy these time and time again great buy the dogs love em and they last a age, no worry about your dog choking on bits they don't get sticky or nasty like raw hide treats, our 2 terriers are so contented when they have 1 of these between their paws, ideal for any destructive pup/dog also flavoured.
